Regional and Rural Patients now have access to 24 hour Critical Care
NSW Telestroke Service is a state-wide virtual service hosted at Prince of Wales Hospital and serviced by a roster of specialist stroke physicians who provide remote specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with a suspected stroke. Operations commenced in March 2020 and there are two sites running (Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour Hospitals). Plans are in place for a further 23 referring sites to be implemented over the next two years.
